Nanjing Metro Line 1 holds the distinction of being the city's first subway line. Spanning approximately 45.4 km with 32 stations, the route runs from Baguazhou Bridge South to China Pharmaceutical University, serving as the north-south backbone of the city. It connects two major railway hubs—Nanjing Railway Station and Nanjing South Railway Station—and handles a daily ridership of nearly one million passengers. Looking ahead, Line 1 will integrate further into the network with upcoming transfers to multiple lines, including Line 6.
