Located in Xincheng District, Xi'an Railway Station is a top-tier hub managed by China Railway Xi'an Group. It serves as a critical junction connecting major arteries, including the Longhai, Baoji-Xi'an, Xi'an-Ankang, Nanjing-Xi'an, and Xianyang-Tongchuan railways, as well as the Xuzhou-Lanzhou HSR (Zhengzhou-Xi'an section) and the Xi'an-Chengdu PDL.
During the 2026 Spring Festival travel rush, the station is projected to handle 3.56 million departures. Together with Xi'an North Station, the city's total departures are expected to reach 9.86 million, a 3% year-on-year increase.
